Well people who say it was discredited are not totally convincing. They claim alibis for Nixon and Johnson but don't say how long the party lasted. And those alibis expired before midnight for Johnson. Didn't Popular Mechanix debunk the theory that anyone other than Oswald was involved in the assassination? Is the story disinformation, or is the debunking disinformation? Even Stephen King believes that Oswald was a lone assassin and that the conspiracy theories were all debunked. When Johnson decided not to run for reelection, he handed Nixon the presidency. Payback? A guilty conscience? Why did Gore and Kerry and Hillary not make a better effort to win the presidency? Who really picks the president? Who arranges for a president or a popular leader to be shot, like Ford and Reagan were, or JFK, RFK or MLK for that matter? Who benefits? Who can get it done? Who needs to be part of it? Who covers it up and why?

I'm just saying that they weren't all in on it; that unless we scrutinize and reject possibly false claims, we won't get to the truth. Clearly there are a lot of false claims and theories, with many books written contrary to sound analysis, like the driver Greer shot JFK or that the shooters operated from a sewer drain.

There was a large conspiracy, the question is how large? Many people had means motives and opportunity. Oswald had none of those things. I'm seeing the Democrats on a better footing than the Republicans connected to much of the political evils that have been perpetrated. Yes, Johnson was a proven criminal even according to moderate historians like Caro, but to be involved and in the know is quite a leap. The CIA and the MOB had the major motives.

If Johnson knew it was going to happen then I consider him involved, because he benefited from letting it happen when he had a duty to expose it and protect the president. Then he was involved with the cover up. Then he was involved with expanding the war, which must have been part of the motive for the assassination, a decade long payday for the military industrial complex. Maybe he was just following orders. Maybe like the Joe Pesce character says to the Robert De Niro character at the end of the Irishman, "Hoffa was a good man, but it was him or us, so f*** him.

Why did LBJ duck down in the car before the shooting started?

Connolly had fear on his face threw out the motorcade knowing that Kennedy would be shot and that he might get shot as well. He reacted alot faster then Kennedy and ducked down like LBJ did because he knew, Kennedy did not know so he did not duck down and was shot fatally.
If Kennedy would of ducked down like LBJ and Connoly did he would of survived.

There are usually other rationales for why people do things. Kennedy had strong premonitions about being killed in Dallas, many people saw him as highly vulnerable. Also some events have at least partly accidental and not conspiratorial causes. To assume that such conspiracies are so well planned as to not have any accidents is counter to reality. There are so many records that have been suppressed, it looks like Trump pushed off more releases until 2021.

The only question is whether who ever is President then would permit their release. Trump will not let the records be released. Maybe Warren or Sanders would, as I don't think the other Democratic candidates would.
