Dear JFK Murder Solved Forum Members and Readers:

JDB4JFK - Thank you for all of your input, ESPECIALLY the EXECUTIVE ACTION selection from Robert Ryan

IF A TREE FALLS IN THE FOREST, AND NO ONE IS THERE, DOES IT MAKE A SOUND ?

JDB4JFK, I read all of your material. You are an Excellent Contributor. I usually don't respond in my simple
efforts to hopefully allow or encourage other's input. I throw my pebbles into this Pond and River of Input,

Bob Fox, Phil Dragoo, and Ken Murray I consider very trusted friends. So much so, that J and B have called
and talked to Bob and Phil recently. I did not have Ken's phone number with me, or we would have also
called Ken on those days.

Yet you don't hear, read, or see Bob Fox or Phil Dragoo all over Fake Book, or the Internet divulging that J
and B have called them. Those are Trusted Friends.

TODAY IS THURSDAY, 06.29.2017.

There is no profit in Peace continues with a war zone all over especially in Chicago, it's like the same reaction in a Country they throw in 1000 troops and expect the job to be done instead it continues for years, can you believe 16 years ? Is this not the longest war, down in Miami Liberty Cillage and other neighbourhoods it's the same as Chicago, I believe just like there is no profit in peace there is lots of Profit in Chaos all over in everyone's neighbourhood. Will it ever get better? No, will this 16 year old was stop? Never. Would you stop and stop the profits rolling in.

It can and will only get worse

Sun-Times Wire:

At least 18 people were shot across Chicago, two of them fatally, in the first night of Fourth of July weekend violence,
nearly doubling the carnage that kicked off the holiday last year.

Ten people were shot to open the long weekend in 2016, and it ended with 66 people shot — a total that actually stoked
cautious optimism with the lowest death toll for the July 4 weekend in nearly a decade.

On Saturday, Chicago Police touted a 14 percent decline in shootings this year compared to the first six months of 2016,
and they hope to tamp down the holiday weekend violence with the help of a new gun violence strike force that includes
ATF agents.

At least 1,758 people have been shot in the city this year, 309 of them fatally, according to data maintained by the Chicago
Sun-Times.

The latest killings happened about 8:45 p.m. on Friday in Englewood on the South Side. Two men, ages 30 and 50, were
on a porch in the 5700 block of South Wells when two gunmen walked up and opened fire. Both were shot in the legs and
chest. The older man died at the scene, and the younger died at Northwestern Memorial Hospital, according to police, who
on Saturday morning were questioning two possible suspects.

In the most recent shooting, a gunman opened fire on a 23-year-old woman and a 28-year-old man at a West Town party
about 5 a.m. on Saturday in the 2700 block of West Washington. She was shot in the leg, and he was hit in the thigh, foot
and arm, police said. They were in good condition at Stroger Hospital.

A little over two hours before that, a 13-year-old boy was shot in the buttocks in Gage Park’s 5500 block of South Talman,
police said. He was taken to Comer Children’s Hospital.

Thirteen more people were wounded in separate shootings between 4:15 p.m. Friday and 2:30 a.m. Saturday. Follow Fourth
of July weekend violence on the Chicago Sun-Times shooting tracker.

23 PEOPLE SHOT, 5 FATALLY IN CHICAGO, ILLINOIS SHOOTINGS IN 24 HOUR PERIOD FROM EARLY FRIDAY MORNING,
06.30.2017 TO EARLY SATURDAY MORNING, 07.01.2017:

Shootings occurred in Washington Park, Chicago Lawn, Englewood, Grand Crossing, Wicker Park, Gage Park, East
Garfield Park, Bronzeville, Little Village and other areas across Chicago from June 28 to July 2, 2017. (Erin Hooley

Three people were shot dead and at least 16 others were wounded in 13 hours during the start of the long July
Fourth weekend.

In total, four men and a woman were killed and at least 18 other people were wounded in separate attacks from
early Friday morning to early Saturday, which included a rifle shooting on the South Side.

In the most recent fatal shooting, three men, 50, 51 and 30, were fatally shot about 8:50 p.m. while they were on
the porch of a home in the 5700 block of South Wells Street in the Englewood neighborhood, police and fire officials
said.

Two men approached the home and opened fire, striking the older man in the chest and leg. He was pronounced
dead at the scene.

The 30-year-old was shot in the chest and legs. He was taken in critical condition to Northwestern Memorial Hospital,
where he later was pronounced dead. Police first reported that he was 32.

The shooters took off in a white sedan, but they were stopped by officers, police said. Detectives were questioning two
people of interest in the shooting.

Just before 12:30 p.m. Saturday, officers returned back to the scene of the shooting after a 52-year-old man was found
shot dead inside the home where the attack had taken place, police said. He was pronounced dead at the scene at
12:27 p.m.

He was identified as John Hunter, 52, of the same block where the shooting took place, according to the Cook County
medical examiner's office. Police believe he was wounded during the shooting that killed Ringer and the 30-year-old man.

Friday morning, a rifle attack left one man and a woman dead when someone pulled up to their car on the South Side
and opened fire, according to police.

The man and woman, in their 20s, were with two other people in the car stopped at a light at 41st and State streets when
a black SUV drove up and someone inside armed with a rifle fired shots around 7:10 a.m., police said.

The woman, 23, was hit several times and initially taken in critical condition to Stroger Hospital where she was
pronounced dead later Friday morning, police said. The man was shot in the head, shoulder and back and was
pronounced dead on the scene.

The driver of the car sped off to get away from the SUV and eventually stopped in the 5400 block of South Wentworth
Avenue, more than 2 miles away, police said.

The driver and other passenger were not hurt.

No one was in custody, and there was no detailed description of the shooter's car.

Teen shot in Gage Park

A 13-year-old boy was shot in the buttocks just before 2:40 a.m. Saturday while he was walking in the 5500 block of
South Talman Avenue, police said. He was taken to Comer Children's Hospital, but police did not immediately release
details about his condition.

He was one of four people shot in separate attacks within 40 minutes Saturday. Evidence markers could be seen on the
road near an alley.

"What happened?" a woman asked in Spanish to a group of people sitting on their front porch.

"Gunshots," one man responded in Spanish.

A 19-year-old man who lives nearby said he was inside his house when he saw a car driving in the wrong direction.
The car then stopped near the alley, he said, and it appeared that shots were fired from the car.

"It just calmly rolled away," he said. "I was surprised."

Another man, who asked to be identified only as Manuel, said he was drinking in front of his home when someone from
a vehicle fired shots near the alley.

"Boom, boom, boom, boom," he said. "Everyone ran."

He said he hid in nearby bushes, and he later heard additional gunshots.

In other shootings:

• Two people were shot about 4:55 a.m. Saturday during a gathering inside a home in the 2700 block of West Washington
Boulevard in the Near West Side neighborhood, police said. During an argument at the gathering, a man pulled out a gun
and opened fire. A 28-year-old man was shot in the right thigh and left foot and was grazed on the left arm. A 23-year-old
woman was shot in the right leg. Both were in good condition at Stroger Hospital.

• About 2:35 a.m., a 23-year-old man was shot in the leg while he was walking in the 2100 block of North Pulaski Road in
the Hermosa neighborhood, police said. He was taken in critical condition to Mount Sinai Hospital.

• In Wicker Park about 2:25 a.m., a 25-year-old man was shot in the knee during an argument in the 2000 block of West
LeMoyne Street, police said. He was taken in good condition to Stroger Hospital.

The shooting happened near an apartment building and a shopping center, not far from Damen CTA Blue Line station.
Ofelia Garcia, who lives nearby, said she was in bed when she heard the gunshots, which she originally thought could be
fireworks.

"Oh no, not again," Garcia said in Spanish, recalling what she thought at the time.

She looked out her window and saw a dark-colored vehicle near the alley.

6+ SHOT DEAD, 40+ SHOT AND WOUNDED IN SHOOTINGS IN CHICAGO, ILLINOIS THIS WEEKEND:
CBS NEWS July 2, 2017, 10:51 PM
Last Updated Jul 3, 2017 7:26 AM EDT

CHICAGO -- The Fourth of July weekend is off to a violent start, CBS Chicago reports.

At least six people were killed and dozens of others wounded in shooting incidents as the city headed into Monday
morning. Among the wounded is the son of a Cook County judge in what Chicago Police have dubbed a gang related
shooting.

Neighbors who know the family, however, say the 28-year-old victim is not in a gang, adding that he is a young, hard
working father who happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time.

"This hits home because I've known this young man for years. I'm hoping he'll be alright," said Tom Keller, who is a
neighbor of the family.

Keller added that it's hard to comprehend how his neighbor's son, Duriel Lyke, ended up getting shot Saturday night.
"It's kind of disturbing because it's not like him -- he's not a gang member. He has a family, he's not that type."

Police say someone shot Lyke multiple times around 10 p.m. in the Chatham neighborhood. He was transported to
Advocate Christ Hospital in critical condition.

"The young man -- I've known him since he was a baby; I've seen him grow up. I'm a friends of his father's, his father
is a judge."

Lyke's father is Cook County Judge John Fitzgerald Lyke Jr. Judge Lyke told CBS Chicago he's not in any shape to
speak on camera. But in a Facebook message, he said, "My son is about to go back into surgery. Please keep him in
your prayers."

Chicago Police said Lyke is not in a gang, but a 27-year-old man who was also injured in the shooting does have gang
affiliations. Police say he was shot in the ankle and is in stable condition.

As of early Sunday evening, no one was in custody.

More than 100 people shot in Chicago over long Fourth of July weekend
Chicago's violent Fourth of July weekend:
Chicago's violent Fourth of July weekend, June 30 through July 5, 2017.
Peter Nickeas, Elvia Malign, and Elyssa Cherney Contact Reporters:
Chicago Tribune:

Chicago saw one of its most violent Fourth of July weekends in recent years: At least 101 people were shot between
Friday afternoon and early Wednesday, nearly half of them over 12 hours as the long holiday drew to a close. Fifteen of
the wounded died.

The last time the Fourth holiday spanned four full days was in 2013, when July 4 fell on a Thursday and many people
had Friday off. At least 74 people were shot between Wednesday evening and early Monday that year, and 12 of them
died, according to Tribune data.

The violence this year was largely confined to the South and West sides, including districts where the department has
installed what it calls strategic decisions support centers and predictive technology. Hundreds of officers on overtime
were also deployed to those districts.

The youngest person shot over the weekend was a 13-year-old boy seriously wounded in Gage Park on Friday night.
The oldest person shot was a 60-year-old man in the Lawndale neighborhood.

The weekend had been relatively calm by early Tuesday afternoon when police Superintendent Eddie Johnson
announced the arrests of 58 people on drug and gun charges "to keep residents and visitors safe in every
neighborhood."

But within hours, violence erupted in nearly every police district south of North Avenue, according to data kept by the
Tribune. At least 42 people were shot between 3:30 p.m. Tuesday and 3:30 a.m. Wednesday.

Only two of those 42 were shot north of Chicago Avenue.

Sunday and Monday nights had both been calm, by summer standards, with 17 people shot over the two days,
according to Tribune data. The weekend began with 19 people shot on Friday night and 23 on Saturday.

The Harrison District on the West Side, which had gone without any shootings over the Memorial Day weekend,
recorded 14 people shot over the long Fourth weekend.

At one homicide scene in the district, onlookers peeked around the entrance to the Green Line station at Pulaski
Road and Lake Street, trying to get a glimpse of the body of a man chased down and shot early Wednesday.

The shooting happened on two sides of a popular West Side liquor store. Officers found shell casings and one man
shot behind the store, next to an alley. The other wounded man fell face-up on a sidewalk underneath the elevated
train tracks.

A garbage can fire burned as officers counted shell casings and draped tape from support pillars holding up the "L"
tracks. A fire engine backed down the alley, and firefighters dumped the trash and pumped water from a tin can onto
the smoldering waste.

Police investigate the scene where two men where shot with a rifle from a vehicle at the intersection of 43rd Street
and Ashland Avenue in the Back of the Yards neighborhood on July 3, 2017. (E. Jason Wambsgans/Chicago Tribune)

Other scenes from the weekend:

• The only shooting north of North Avenue happened about 50 yards from the street that marks the West Side's northern
edge.

A 56-year-old man died and a 19-year-old man was seriously wounded around 8:15 p.m. Tuesday in the 1600 block of
North Major Avenue -- the same block where an 8-year-old girl was shot last August. The house where the two men were
shot was home to a young man killed last year around the corner. The older man was pronounced dead overnight at
Loyola University Medical Center.

Tuesday night, a man approached the crime scene with a toddler, who seemed to be just learning to walk as she ambled
ahead of him. An officer walked up to the little girl and gently turned her around, while another yelled at her father for walking
under yellow tape officers had stretched across Major Avenue.

• Seven miles to the south, shortly before midnight, a woman searched the 1900 block of South Spaulding for shell casings
by the light of her cellphone before officers arrived. Two people walked into St. Anthony's Hospital, a block from Mount Sinai
Hospital, saying they had been shot there.

• Earlier Tuesday, officers found a woman shot on Roosevelt Road. She was in a silver car just east of Independence
Boulevard and had been shot around the corner, on Lawndale Avenue. Every few minutes, officers found a few more shell
casings, each a little farther from the alley south of Roosevelt.

• Police found a 42-year-old man in "extremely critical" condition on Laflin Avenue just south of 62nd Street, and he was later
pronounced dead from gunshot wounds. Neighbors gathered on a front porch nearby and in a smaller group across the street,
on church steps, while paramedics worked on the man. The ambulance left after a few minutes with a squad car in tow.

• Just before 3 a.m. Wednesday, police taped off Roosevelt Road because they found a person shot where the road intersects
with Loomis Avenue in the University Village/Little Italy neighborhood. He had been shot about a block south on the 1300 block
of West 13th Street.

• A shooting in the 3400 block of West Grenshaw Street about 10:15 p.m. left two men wounded. People nearby said they
hesitated when they heard the gunfire but weren't certain because of the frequency of the fireworks. A woman, who neighbors
said was the young man's grandmother, stepped to the ambulance to find out what happened.

"Right now, ma'am, he's worried about you. He's going to be OK, but he's worried about you," a paramedic told the woman.
She stepped away, and the ambulance pulled off toward Mount Sinai Hospital.

"I can't go with him ?" she asked.

Mount Sinai Hospital treated at least 22 of the 101 people shot over the weekend. At one point early Wednesday morning, five
ambulances crowded into the emergency room's small ambulance bay and a Chicago police squad SUV sat parked nearby.

ANTI-VIOLENCE ACTIVIST AMONG DEAD IN ANOTHER WEEKEND OF CHICAGO SHOOTINGS:
MICHAEL EDISON HAYDEN, Good Morning America 26 minutes ago

An anti-violence activist was among those killed in a weekend of shootings on the streets of Chicago, according to police.

Ten people have been killed, and 37 wounded across Chicago since Friday evening, ABC Chicago station WLS-TV reported,
with community activist William "Willie" Cooper, 58, and a 9-year-old boy among the dead.

Cooper's nonprofit, Lilydale Outreach Workers for a Better Community, helps teens find jobs on Chicago's South Side,
according to Donovan Price, another community activist who runs the youth program for Pray Chicago, a faith-based
community organization, who said Cooper was shot not far from his nonprofit’s headquarters.

A representative for Lilydale Outreach Workers for a Better Community today confirmed Cooper’s death but declined to
comment on it, saying that members of Cooper's staff were still speaking with authorities about the incident.

Cooper was walking near a liquor store Saturday afternoon when someone driving by in a dark-colored vehicle shot him
in the back and mouth, The Associated Press reported.

police. (ABC News)
No suspects were in custody and the investigation was ongoing, police told the AP.

"People are so cold-hearted. How could you take somebody's life ? He helped everybody. I just don't understand," Patricia
Carter, Cooper’s niece, told WLS.

WLS reported that an AR-15 was used in the shooting.

The Chicago Police Department did not immediately respond to a request for comment about the incident.

'The person people came to ... when they needed help'

Price, of Pray Chicago, told ABC News that he frequently visits the scene of shootings in the city to offer help to families who
are affected by them, and frequently crossed paths with Cooper.

He said he was "very surprised" to learn of Cooper's death after arriving at this one.

"He was the person people came to in the neighborhood when they needed help," Price said. "He was the person people would
reach out to as things have gotten dicier on the streets of Chicago."

In addition to helping teens find jobs, Price said, Cooper was focused on "diffusing violence" and would serve as a mentor to
young people who sought out his guidance.

Price said he worries that Chicago's endemic violence is not close to being eradicated.

"I've taken mothers to the morgue. This weekend, a nine-year-old was killed," he said. "My concern is that violence is getting
popular here."

THE GREATER GOOD:

Postby Bruce Patrick Brychek » Sat Jul 29, 2017 1:19 am

07.29.2017:

Dear JFK Murder Solved Forum Members and Readers:

CHICAGO, ILLINOIS TODAY CELEBRATED ITS 400th SHOOTING MURDER FOR THIS YEAR.

4 YEARS AGO CHICAGO DIDN'T REACH ITS 400th SHOOTING MURDER UNTIL THANKSGIVING.

CHICAGO HAD 50 MORE HOMICIDES THAN NEW YORK AND LOS ANGELES COMBINED THROUGH MID JUNE OF THIS YEAR,
EVEN THOUGH CHICAGO IS FAR LESS POPULATED THAN BOTH.

MULTIPLE NEW, AND ALLEGEDLY IMPROVED PROGRAMS HAVE BEEN IMPLEMENTED ALMOST WEEKLY IN CHICAGO, BUT
NOTHING IS WORKING. MONEY AND RESOURCES ARE LIMITED IN BANKRUPT CHICAGO, AND THROUGH OUT ILLINOIS.

BUT THINGS ARE LOOKING UP ELSEWHERE. THE MILITARY INDUSTRIAL CORPORATIONS ARE SPENDING OVER $32 BILLION
DOLLARS ON 3 FORD CLASS AIR CRAFT CARRIERS, THE USS GERALD R. FORD, THE USS JOHN F. KENNEDY, AND THE USS
ENTERPRISE, DESTINED TO HELP BRING CIVILIZATION, DEMOCRACY, LAW AND ORDER, AND PEACE TO DESERVING 3RD
WORLD COUNTRY'S, ALL PAID FOR BY "We the People..." THE DEAD, SOON TO BE DEAD, DYING, AND WOUNDED IN CHICAGO
COULD NOT BE REACHED FOR COMMENT. (07.29.2017, BB).

MORE PEOPLE DYING FROM GUNSHOT WOUNDS AS CHICAGO MARKS 400 HOMICIDES:

Shootings occurred in Cabrini-Green, South Shore, Park Manor and other areas across Chicago from July 27 to July 28,
2017. (Erin Hooley/Chicago Tribune)
Chicago Tribune staffContact Reporter

Four years ago, Chicago didn't record 400 homicides until just before Thanksgiving Day. The city has already passed that
mark this year.

Chicago is on pace to have a deadlier year than 2016, when gun violence reached levels not seen in 20 years, according
to data kept by the Tribune. While fewer people have been shot this year, more of them are dying from their wounds.

An analysis of Tribune data shows the percentage of fatal shootings is running about 1.3 percent higher than last year. The
percentage had been declining in recent years but started to rise last year.

In 2013, about 15.5 percent of those shot in Chicago died. That percentage dropped to around 14 percent the next two
years, but rose in 2016 to 15.2 percent, according to Tribune data. So far this year, 16.5 percent of the 2,150 people shot
have died.

Combined with other cases, such as strangulations and stabbings, the number of homicides reached 400 on Thursday, two
days earlier than last year.

Mother pleads with police at fatal shooting: 'I need to touch my son’.

With half the summer to go, Chicago is on course to top 700 homicides for a second consecutive year, a mark that had
otherwise not been reached in two decades.

It's not clear what might be driving the increase in homicides, which are often linked to gang conflicts and are concentrated
on the West and South sides.

Experts have cited everything from the proliferation of guns in the city to the opioid epidemic that could be intensifying
disputes among heroin dealers.

For the first six months of 2017, more than 90 percent of Chicago homicide victims were slain by gunfire, according to Police
Department records.

But in New York City, only about 49 percent of homicide victims were the victims of gun violence. According to a study released
in January by the University of Chicago, 72 percent of Los Angeles' homicides in 2016 were with a gun.

At least 16 shot, 3 fatally in Chicago.

Warning: graphic content. Sixteen people were shot, three fatally, in Chicago from Thursday to early Friday, July 28, 2017.
(Erin Hooley / Chicago Tribune).

Chicago had 50 more homicides than New York and Los Angeles combined through mid-June, even though it is far less
populous than both.

Earlier this year, Chicago police highlighted the link between drugs and violence earlier this year with maps displaying how
the locations of shootings and drug overdoses overlapped.

The maps showed a high concentration of shootings and overdoses happening on the West Side near the Eisenhower
Expressway, dubbed the "Heroin Highway" because of the easy access it provides for drug-buying suburbanites.
