The above is a copy the the order of silence to participants of the Autopsy (Humes' copy here). This is often talked about and many apologists still claim no written order existed (and by inference those just saying so were not telling the truth).
This does not excuse Humes and others in any way, but demonstrates that the order and its threat were real.
I can't help wondering whether the military could have had any influence if the autosy had taken place at Walter Reed, but in which case, wouldn't the Secret Service have just played the same role in controlling events?
